Via LA Times:

It’s not official yet, but it appears to be happening, Casey soon to be hired as the next coach of the Clippers, a journeyman assistant shoved into a scrum of challenging talent…

Horrible article though. Just filled with hate towards Casey, and not showing the full details of anything, including Casey’s old coaching job and the reasons why he was never given a proper chance at coaching in the NBA.

If you want to see both sides on the Vinnie Del Negro and Dwane Casey, read this article.

If you want to see why Casey should be the coach of the Clippers, read this article.

I myself prefer Casey (He’s known for developing young talent and preaching defense.. It’s not fair to him that the T-Wolves were becoming dismantled when he got hired.. His second best player was Ricky Davis), but I would be fine with VDN as well.

Wow. What a huge, huge turn of events if this rumor is in fact true. This would be much bigger than our free agent this summer, our draft pick, and our new coach and GM. This could be huge for the franchise. Geffen has even said that if Sterling lets him buy 51% of the team, he would be able to Lebron.

The fact that he’s even interested in buying the team means he’s excited about turning the Clippers around, and to make their value higher.

This isn’t a valuable, chased after franchise (Face it, no one wants to own the Clippers just so that they can say they own a team.. They would get laughed at) and after all, he’s being a true businessman. Buy when the stock is low, and then when it rises you’ll be there to make the earnings. I’m sure he understands that his job is going to be helping the Clippers rise.

I don’t know if it’s really going to happen but I welcome it with open arms. The guy is a billionaire and he’s willing to spend money to make the Clippers a good team. It’s been said that Sterling has been willing to do the same lately, but if you have 2 guys who have ownership in the team who are both committed to win, how could you go wrong? Our future looks very bright, especially if this happens.
